Delivering a small batch product

Applying protection to fibre optic cabling within the space-restrictive and demanding environment of the automotive industry required the design of a very specialised device. Minima not only met the design challenges of the brief and created a mechanical rig for the zipper tool, but went on to deliver a pilot production batch of the product to meet industry needs.

Serving the automotive industry, there are specific challenges to meet in protecting fragile cables within compact and harsh environments. Minima designed the zipper tool to reliably and repeatedly apply fibre optic cable harness protection in vehicle assembly.
