Biological Moulds and Mandrels

Overview

More and more medical procedures require bespoke implants, designed and created using patient specific data. Whilst rapid prototyping technologies such as SLS and SLA can create anatomical replicas of CT or MRI data, materials used are porous, difficult to sterilise and can leach or transfer particulates onto implant materials or tissues.

Using our in-house prototyping capabilities and expertise we can create anatomically accurate models, moulds and mandrels from client data in as little as 24 hours from receipt. Minima’s CNC machines can cut complex shapes and surfaces from virtually any engineering material ranging including PTFE and implant grade stainless steel ensuring suitability for sterilisation, superior surface finishes and biological safety.
